On Friday, 31st January 2025 โ ALP International Practice Group (ALPi) held a press conference at the Accra International Conference Center, Ghana, to update the market on its activities in the preceding year, inform the public about upcoming product rollouts, showcase its professional services, and highlight its continued expansion within Africa.
Since its inception, ALPi has expanded strategically across Africa. ALP NG & Co. (Nigeria) commenced business in 2017, followed by the establishment of ALP Professional Services Limited and ALP Audit to provide multidisciplinary professional services, including management consulting, tax, audit, and financial advisory services.
Operations expanded to East Africa with ALP Uganda, ALP Kenya, ALP Tanzania, and ALP South Sudan, while the alliance was further strengthened through a strategic partnership with Africa Legal Associates (Ghana), a firm renowned for excellence and integrity.
In the last quarter of 2024, ALP Namibia (incorporating Shimaneni & Co. of Namibia), a dynamic and premier newbreed law firm, joined the Group, further consolidating ALPiโs presence in Africa.
Today, ALP International Practice Group comprises ALP NG & Co. (Nigeria), Africa Legal Associates (Ghana), ALP Uganda, ALP Kenya, ALP Tanzania, ALP South Sudan, ALP Namibia (Shimaneni & Co.), ALP Mauritius, ALP Professional Services, and ALP Audit โ a network of leading African legal and professional service firms dedicated to delivering innovative, client-centric solutions across the continent.
While Africa remains the centerpiece of our focus, we pride ourselves in aggregating the best minds across various sectors. We are not just defined by what we know, but also by who we know in delivering professional solutions.
Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, a Partner at ALP NG & Co., further highlighted the Groupโs integrated service approach, stating:
โOur integrated approach combines deep local knowledge with global expertise, enabling us to serve clients seamlessly across multiple jurisdictions. Built on the pillars of excellence, integrity, and collaboration, we bring together legal, financial, and strategic expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions that drive value for our clients.โ
This year, we are taking a bold step forward by expanding our reach into Lusophone and Francophone countries, ensuring that our services are more inclusive and accessible across the continent.
We restate our commitment to championing and advancing the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA) as a knowledge resource and a trade practice, a vision that was at the forefront when ALPi was conceived.
A significant milestone in this direction is our partnership with the University of Professional Studies Accra (USPA) that will introduce the ALPi-USPA AfCFTA Law & Policy Review (AUALPR), a periodic journal to be published through www.alptrade.africa.
This initiative further potrays ALPiโs role as a knowledge partner, capacity builder, and trade expert, reinforcing our commitment to advancing the AfCFTA vision.
