Our Senior Partner Stevan Dimitrijević participated in two events, underlining his commitment to the development of arbitration and its significance to the legal community.
Stevan attended the symposium The Winds of Change – International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in the Geopolitical Arena at the University of Vienna, where leading experts in investment arbitration gathered. Among the distinguished speakers were Meg Kinnear, former Secretary-General of ICSID, Professor Christoph Schreuer Emeritus Professor University of Vienna, Professor August Reinisch, Head of International Law Relations at the University of Vienna, and Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of UNCITRAL and Director of the International Trade Law Division at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, among many others. Discussions focused on key issues of globalization, the rule of law, human rights, and investment protection amid geopolitical challenges.
The following day, Stevan was one of the speakers at the Navigating Arbitration: Essential Skills for Lawyers and In-House Counsel conference in Ljubljana, organized by Vienna International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC), Ljubljana Arbitration Centre, Karanovic & Partners, CMS Slovenia and DLA Piper Vienna. This event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding arbitration in various sectors.
Stevan also had the pleasure of meeting his friend and colleague, Matej Perpar from Law firm KIRM PERPAR, Ltd., also a member of the SELA – South East Legal Alliance. This busy week further strengthened connections and collaboration within the regional legal and arbitration community, reaffirming our dedication to the development and promotion of arbitration as a cornerstone of justice and stability.
