Santiago de Chile, December 2021.- Abogabir Miranda, through Nicolás Miranda Larraguibel, Diego Abogabir Egaña, and Miguel Garces Riveros represented a world-leading German company manufacturer of bombs and hydraulic valves, as defendant in a civil proceeding.
Plaintiff alleged that Defendant provided faulty advise in the design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant.
This lawsuit is related to a construction project aimed at expanding the capacity of the sewage pre-treatment and final disposal system and improving the level of retention of solids in the Antofagasta region. The sewage treatment plant is valued at approximately USD 11 million.
Plaintiff hired Defendant to supply motor-driven equipment that would allow the flow of water in the water treatment plant.
Thanks to the advice of Abogabir Miranda, the trial ended in favor of its client. The judge recognized that the Defendant was not responsible for any of the damages sought by the Plaintiff.
