Alston & Bird has further expanded and strengthened its IP Litigation Group by adding partner Michelle Clark in San Francisco. Michelle focuses her practice on advising emerging technology companies in intellectual property matters, including patent, trade secret, contract, unfair competition, inventorship, and a host of other commercial disputes.
“We are pleased to welcome Michelle, who brings an exceptional mix of cutting-edge legal skills and the expertise to guide clients through complex IP proceedings,” said Scott Stevens, Alston & Bird partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group. “Michelle deepens Alston & Bird’s West Coast IP litigation presence by growing our capabilities, visibility, and reach, while aligning with the practice’s commitment to serving the IP needs of clients worldwide.”
Michelle has extensive experience litigating IP disputes for defendants and rights owners in U.S. district courts and before the International Trade Commission. She has advised leading global communications providers, medical device manufacturers, Fortune 500 retailers, and a diverse range of innovative technology companies.
Michelle’s arrival builds on the momentum created by the recent additions of IP partners Erik Carlson, Edward Poplawski, Olivia Kim, and Theresa Conduah in Los Angeles and Century City. Michelle said, “I am thrilled to join Alston & Bird’s diverse platform, which uniquely balances a highly respected IP practice with a top-tier ITC practice. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with my new colleagues to deliver exceptional results for our growing roster of sophisticated clients.”
Alston & Bird’s team of more than 80 intellectual property litigation lawyers assists clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property matters.
