Annerton partner, lawyer and tax advisor Anh-Vu Tran provided legal and tax advice to Wunderland Capital Management GmbH on the structuring and launch of its VC fund of funds. With a target volume of €150 million, the fund invests in about 20 to 25 selected venture capital funds with a focus on B2B technology in Europe. It is thus an indirect startup portfolio of over 500 companies.

This diversification is aimed at attracting institutional investors, as it tracks the market return of European VCs, but with less risk. Volksbank Mittelhessen is the anchor investor with a capital commitment of 50 million euros, which is invested indirectly through its fund of funds at Union Investment. Furthermore the bank invests through a fund vehicle created for certain investor groups which was set up in collaboration with the service capital management company HANSAINVEST Hanseatische Investment-GmbH and is also managed by it. The target volume of the fund of funds is 150 million euros.

In addition, Annerton partner Dr. Anna Izzo-Wagener and Annerton lawyer Till-Christopher Otto have supported Wunderland Capital GmbH in obtaining its license as a financial investment broker.

Annerton partner Anh-Vu Tran: “We wish the founders Lukas Bennemann, Dirk Rudolf and Noel Zeh every success in building up their portfolio, thank them and HANSAINVEST Hanseatische Investment-GmbH for the good cooperation and look forward to continuing to support Wunderland Capital as advisors!”
