Rome, May 17, 2019 – International law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners is pleased to announce the arrival of a team of 15 professionals led by Partners Antonio Segni and Andrea Mazziotti. The new team members, who will be based in the firm's offices in Rome and Milan, include, among others, the non-equity Partners Ruggero Gambarota, Federico Loizzo, Livia Caldarola, Stefano Cirino Pomicino and Antonio Amoroso.
This lateral hire marks a new, important step in the firm’s growth and confirms its ability to attract fellow professionals of the highest calibre.
With market recognized experience and expertise, Antonio Segni and Andrea Mazziotti, with their teams, will contribute to further strengthening the firm’s leadership, particularly in the areas of Capital Markets, Public M&A and Corporate Finance.
Antonio is recognized as one of the leading Capital Markets experts in Italy and has gained extensive experience in corporate finance, capital markets and M&A often involving large listed companies and financial institutions. During his professional career, he has also acquired comprehensive expertise in privatizations, corporate governance and private equity and real estate funds set up.
Before joining Lombardi Segni e Associati and becoming a name partner, Antonio founded Labruna Mazziotti Segni in 2006 together with Andrea Mazziotti. Prior to this experience, he served as an officer at the legal department of CONSOB from 1989 to 1994, the year he joined GOP, where he rose to the rank of Partner and head of the Capital Markets Group.
Andrea has a wide-ranging experience in M&A, corporate finance and private equity as well as in the restructuring of distressed companies. During his career he has regularly assisted primary Italian and international companies and industrial groups, private equity funds, institutional investors, banks and investment funds on many extraordinary transactions including corporate, restructuring and capital market deals. He has also often been involved in extraordinary transactions in the IT-TLC sector and managed several large outsourcing transactions. Before becoming one of the Founding Partners of Labruna Mazziotti Segni, Andrea was himself a Partner in GOP and previously in Baker & McKenzie.
With the addition of Antonio, Andrea and the lawyers they bring with them, GOP consolidates its pole position in the corporate finance sector, with a total over 150 dedicated lawyers.
