Arzinger International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration team has launched a new investment dispute against russia.
Last week, Arzinger's team launched an investment dispute against russia concerning the losses of Ukrainian private investors in Donbas since 2014. This case is one of the first to address losses caused by russia after the occupation of the eastern part of Ukraine.
As the losses incurred from 2014 until 24 February 2022 are not covered by the new International Compensation Mechanism, investment arbitration remains perhaps the only powerful and effective tool to protect the rights of investors who suffered losses before 24 February 2022 as a result of russia's occupation.
Arzinger is honoured to act as the lead counsel in this case.
The team working on the project consists of managing associate Volodymyr Nakonechnyi, associates Anastasiia Kotliarchuk and Valeriia Lada and paralegal Daria Palienko. They are led by founding partner Timur Bondaryev.
We continue our work to hold russia to account.
