HOUSTON – AZA partner Sammy Ford IV has won the 2025 Houston Bar Association President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding service as chair of the HBA Litigation Section.
“It was a pleasure to work with my colleagues in the Litigation Section. This year we tried to meet our members where they are to help them in their practice. That meant hosting members of our judiciary in small gatherings, partnering with other sections for larger events, starting a webinar series that allows members to get CLE at their leisure, and continuing to host monthly lunches downtown so that members can meet one another. We also supported our local judiciary in seeking funding for new civil district courts before the Harris County Commissioners Court.” Mr. Ford said.
The award ceremony is at the HBA’s Annual Dinner on May 15 at the Hotel ZaZa-Museum District.
Mr. Ford heads up AZA’s plaintiffs personal injury practice. He has been cited by Best Lawyers in America for his plaintiffs personal injury litigation prowess and his work on the defense side. He is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
He has tried more than 20 cases before judges, juries and arbitrators in his career. He represents companies and individuals around the country in all manner of civil matters, including catastrophic personal injury, complex commercial litigation and business torts.
He was elected to the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates, an elite group of the country’s leading trial lawyers.
