Thomson Geer has advised international investment company Banyan Software Inc on its acquisition of three Australian software companies as part of its buy-and-hold for life strategy of acquiring and growing software companies around the world.

Banyan acquired retail point-of-sale software companies Future Net Australia and Worldsmart and video streaming platform company Viostream.

Thomson Geer advised Banyan on all aspects of the transactions, including due diligence, negotiating the sale agreements, assignment of intellectual property, new leases and employment and consultancy agreements.
