DAN Küchen has, until now, been operating as a family business in Upper Austria and will continue to exist as an independent company. Its production sites in Upper Austria are to remain in operation and will be expanded in the future.

Ballingslöv International previously was not operating in Austria and aims to grow in the European market through the acquisition of DAN Küchen. DAN Küchen is the leading player in the Austrian kitchen manufacturing market in terms of turnover, and thereby is to play a pioneering role in Ballingslöv’s market expansion.

The DAN Küchen Supervisory Board is pleased about the takeover by Ballingslöv International and its parent company, the Stena Group, which itself is operated as a family business.

The transaction is still contingent on approval by the regulatory authorities.

The Binder Grösswang team, headed by Partners Michael Kutschera and Philipp Kapl, also comprised Roswitha Seekirchner and Matija Bernat (corporate/M&A), Horst Lukanec, Angelika Pallwein-Prettner, Johannes Bammer, Sabine Apfl-Trompeter and Inka Eßl (employment law), Alexander Kramer (real estate law), Christine Dietz (competition law), Georg Wabl (restructuring and insolvency law), Ivo Rungg (intellectual property and IT) and Stefan Albiez (dispute resolution). “We are pleased that we were able to support the owning family of DAN Küchen in finding a buyer that will continue operations in the best interests of the company,” says Michael Kutschera.
