ACCRALAW Partner Chrysilla Carissa P. Bautista delivered a lecture entitled “Writ of Kalikasan: Cases and Problems” last 3 April 2025 at the Malcolm Theater of the University of the Philippines (U.P.) College of Law with more than 200 participants. It is part of the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education course offerings of the U.P. Law Center Institute for the Administration of Justice.
Ms. Bautista discussed the Rule on the Writ of Kalikasan, which is part of the Rules of Procedure for Environmental Cases. She also covered recent Supreme Court decisions and shared her observations on common problems in handing Writ of Kalikasan cases. She also offered practical insights in drafting a Petition.
Ms. Bautista’s environmental law practice includes representing clients before trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies, such as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Pollution Adjudication Board. She also assists and advises clients on the different compliance and regulatory aspects of the relevant environmental rules and regulations.
