CMS Portugal advised VINCI Highways SAS in the acquisition of 8.5170% of Lusoponte from the Italian company Atlantia, while Lineas - Concessões de Transportes, SGPS, S.A. (Mota-Engil group) advised by CS'Associados also acquired 8.6891%. VINCI Highways SAS and Lineas (Mota-Engil group) each own respectively 49.5% and 50.5% of Lusoponte.
The CMS Portugal team that advised VINCI was led by Corporate M&A partner, Francisco Xavier de Almeida, and involved managing associate Tiago Valente de Oliveira and associate André Guimarães.
Lineas - Concessões de Transportes, SGPS, S.A. (Mota-Engil group) was advised by CS'Associados, whose team was composed by Maria Castelos, Joana Geada dos Santos and Mariana Silva Pereira.
On the selling side, which had the assistance of Sérvulo & Associados to the Italian company Atlantia, the operation was advised by Sofia Carreiro and Pedro Silveira Borges.
Lusoponte is the concessionaire of the two bridges over the Tagus River in Lisbon, Vasco da Gama and 25 de Abril, whose contract expires in March 2030.
