Dentons has advised Syntaxis Capital on its investment in the LuxVet Group, the largest platform of veterinary clinics in Poland, backed by Oaktree Capital Management and Cornerstone Investment Management. The investment will support the development of the group in Poland and Central Europe.
LuxVet Group develops and integrates the Polish veterinary industry through a partnership-based, flexible business model, which includes setting up its own network of facilities and integrating existing ones. By offering the owners capital support and modern organizational, technological, equipment and training solutions, LuxVet aims to create a new quality of services and raise the standards of work in the veterinary sector.
Syntaxis Capital provides long-term credit and growth capital for mid- to lower mid-market companies in Central Europe, in particular Poland, to support their growth and expansion, optimize their balance sheet, and fund acquisitions.
Partners Piotr Dulewicz and Michał Wasiak, from the M&A and Private Equity team in Warsaw, coordinated the deal. Banking and Finance counsel Jakub Zienkiewicz led the work on the financing, under the supervision of partner Mark Segall, and with assistance from Mateusz Ciechomski (associate). The team also included Namik Ramic (partner), Stephane Hadet (partner), Christophe Renaudin (counsel), David Paiva (senior associate), Yifan Zhang (senior associate) and Arnida Alija (associate) who advised on the Luxembourg law aspects of the transaction.
