The Czech investment company PPF Group bought Telenor’s assets in Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”) for EUR 2.8 billion on an enterprise value basis. This is a landmark transaction for the telecommunications sector in the CEE region since 2011 and it was completed on 31 July 2018.

DGKV’s M&A team, together with White & Case LLP as lead international counsel, advised the largest private investment group in PPF a.s. (“PPF”) on the approx. EUR 810 million acquisition of the Bulgarian assets of Telenor. According to public data, the sale of Telenor’s assets in Central and Eastern Europe is the largest M&A transaction ever in the regional telecom sector!
