DGKV acted as a legal counsel and representative of CEZ Electro Bulgaria AD (“CEZ Electro”), one of the three public electricity suppliers in the country, in relation to a multimillion commercial dispute with the state-owned power utility National Electricity Company EAD (“NEK”). The dispute arose as a result of claims of NEK CEZ Electro to pay the price of the electricity sold to it in order to cover the public supply of electricity and of the counter claims NEK to compensate certain receivables due and payable to CEZ Electro under the mechanism for compensation and allocation of renewable energy and highly efficient combined generation costs. DGKV successfully defended CEZ Electro before first instance and after the pending proceedings before the second instance court, our lawyers assisted the parties to reach a mutually beneficial out-of-court settlement. On 12th July 2017 a contract was signed upon which the relations between the parties in relation to the existing legal dispute were finally settled.
DGKV’s team on this project included Partner Angel Ganev and Senior Associates Anton Krustev and Gergana Monovska.
