Since the beginning of 2020, the firm DMK Abogados represents the Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (CAE) in relation to the project of the Bávaro International Airport (AIB) of the ABRISA Group, alleging a series of irregularities and defects in the approval process and non-compliance with the permits required for AIB project approval.

The legal team has presented administrative appeals before the Airport Commission of the Dominican Republic, the Ministry of the Environment (MIMAREMA), and the Tourist Development Council (CONFOTUR), in addition to two (2) complaints before the Attorney General’s Office against the corruption of the Dominican Republic (PEPCA).
After an exhaustive investigation carried out by the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), through its Resolution 017/20 said institution declared the construction of the Bávaro International Airport (AIB) harmful to the public interest, suspending and requesting the nullity of the authorizations that were granted.
