Dr Mateusz Mądry is to be the new head of DZP's Life Sciences Practice, thereby joining the group of DZP Partners. In his new role, Mateusz will be supported by the team's co-founder – prof. Marcin Matczak.
Mateusz is a renowned expert in pharmaceutical law, medical devices and innovative technologies. He gained his experience at the Ministry of Health, the Office for the Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products and the European Medicines Agency. He has represented Poland at the European Commission in working groups and the Standing Committee. Of particular relevance, Mateusz has management experience from working at the head office of an innovative pharmaceutical company.
The new head of DZP’s Life Sciences Practice was associated with our law firm previously. Until 2020, as Counsel, he advised leading Polish and international life sciences entities on regulatory requirements, market access, and competition and compliance issues. He also represented clients in proceedings before administrative authorities, particularly the Minister of Health and subordinate units, and in judicial reviews of decisions.
“Mateusz re-joining our team is an opportunity for a new beginning. It is very gratifying when, after years of accruing experience on the market, trusted people come back to us, ready to take on new challenges. I am convinced that, with Mateusz's commitment and knowledge, and supported by such an experienced expert as Marcin Matczak, our 30+ strong Life Sciences team will not only maintain the strong position and reputation it has enjoyed on the market for years, but will also be open to new challenges,” says Krzysztof Zakrzewski, Managing Partner at DZP.
We would like to thank the Practice’s previous management and Partners – dr Anna Partyka-Opiela, Michał Czarnuch, Tomasz Kaczyński and Marcin Pieklak – for their long-term cooperation. We greatly value their contribution and involvement in building up DZP's market position.
