DWF advisory included supporting KGAL in the preparation of cPPAs, contract negotiations, and renegotiation of contracts entered into with the trading company. An additional complication was the changing legal and regulatory environment, which on several occasions resulted in the need to adapt contracts to the new reality.
The project was led by Dr Karol Lasocki, Head of Renewable Energy Department. The team involved included Paulina Stachura and Dr Maria Kierska, Senior Associates.
The 36-megawatt Krasin wind farm has been generating green electricity since last September. Rywałd, with 27 megawatts of capacity, entered the portfolio in spring 2021 during the project development phase. It is expected that this farm will begin feeding into the grid on a regular basis from October. Together, the two wind farms will supply Lafarge with around 230 gigawatt hours of green electricity per year.
