ECIJA continues its growth strategy and has announced a new corporate move in its Mexico City office, appointing two new partners in the areas of Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), Compliance, Data Protection and Corporate. These are four of the Firm's most prominent practice areas.
In this regard, attorneys Berenice Sagaón and Kaynicté Pérez have received the favorable vote of the Executive Committee of ECIJA Mexico and have been appointed as partners as of January 1, 2023. With this last announcement, ECIJA reaches a total of 6 partners in Mexico, together with a team of more than 25 professionals.

Berenice Sagaón has more than 12 years of experience at ECIJA in privacy and personal data protection, anti-corruption, consumer protection and advertising, anti-money laundering, and compliance programs. She stands out for her experience in the information technology (IT), financial and Fintech, entertainment, and cryptocurrency industries. The new partner of ECIJA Mexico has advised a large number of domestic and international clients, especially North American, European, and Asian multinationals, in privacy and compliance matters. She has led multiple projects of electronic payment processors, their relationship with financial technology institutions and e-commerce, as well as consumer protection, privacy and data inherent to the sector's operations.
About Kaynicté Pérez
Kaynicté Pérez also has more than 12 years of experience in ECIJA advising national and international companies on new technologies, internet, e-commerce, sponsorship agreements and contract negotiation. She stands out for her expertise in the fashion, real estate, aeronautics, distribution, information technology (IT), virtual assets (cryptocurrencies), startup and fintech industries, among others.
In addition, she has led the advice to sports entities in the preparation and negotiation of representation contracts with promoters, commercial contracts, representation agencies and federations. Regarding her experience in contract law and e-commerce, she has led commercial agreements between multinationals with advertising agencies and media, as well as luxury brands and companies in the fashion industry in their online product exploitation agreements with Amazon, among others. Regarding Fintech, Kaynicté has developed commercial agreements for the consolidation of innovative businesses models in Mexico. Kaynicté has also led and advised in multiple international corporate transactions.
