LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (January 2, 2020) – Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP recently announced attorneys Robert W. George and Matthew D. Mitchell have been elected partners in the firm. Both attorneys practice in the firm’s Rogers office.
Robert W. George focuses his practice on litigation, corporate governance and regulatory matters. His work includes a multifaceted business litigation practice in both federal and state courts as well as defending clients against antitrust, securities, environmental and toxic tort claims. He also handles commercial disputes involving fraud, non-compete agreements or unfair competition and the defense of claims involving mergers, acquisitions, class actions, trade secrets, false advertising and trademark infringement. He works closely with C-Suite executives, directors and boards for public and private companies and currently serves as outside general counsel for a multi-billion-dollar cooperative lender. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, George was the vice president of litigation and regulatory affairs for Tyson Foods, Inc.
Matthew D. Mitchell joined the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group in 2015. He concentrates his practice in the areas of banking, corporate and securities, and real estate. Mitchell represents clients in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation and reorganization, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and commercial contract drafting and negotiation. In addition, he assists clients acquiring, developing, and leasing real estate, and represents financial institutions in a variety of lending and regulatory matters.
