Ørsted is purchasing the business of the Ostwind group, a German developer, owner and operator of onshore wind and solar photovoltaic projects in Germany and France. Ørsted is acquiring all shares in OSTWIND Erneuerbare Energien GmbH, OSTWINDpark Rotmainquelle GmbH & Co. KG, OSTWIND International S.A.S. and OSTWIND Engineering S.A.S. from OSTWIND AG, the group's holding company located in Regensburg, Germany, and other sellers. 

The acquisition of Ostwind marks Ørsted's entry into the German and French onshore renewable energies markets and substantially expands Ørsted's onshore footprint in Europe. 

With 115 employees at nine locations in Germany and France, Ostwind has a portfolio of 152 MW in operation and under construction, approximately 526 MW in advanced development, and approximately 1 GW in its development pipeline. The transaction remains subject to regulatory clearances.
