Ifrah Law advised OddsJam (parent: Odds Holdings) in its sale for $80 million plus milestone payments to Gambling.com. The deal is expected to close on January 1, 2025.
Gambling.com, a media affiliate company, gives paying customers to sportsbooks and online casinos from its dozens of websites. Ifrah Law previously advised Gambling.com in its acquisition of BonusFinder. Ifrah Law’s stature is such that it is not uncommon for its clients to be on both sides of deals.
The firm represents a number of media affiliate companies with regard to multiple commercial agreements and sub-affiliate agreements. Media affiliates play a crucial role in the online sports betting industry, providing unbiased information in the form of sportsbook reviews and engaging articles to promote legal betting platforms, directing traffic to legal sites and away from illegal offshore sites. The world of media affiliates has broadened in the sports wagering industry as more traditional media companies are looking to get in on the action. These traditional media companies have decided to partner with the industry’s prominent affiliates instead of forging their own way into a new industry. In order to do so, the companies have had to enter into sub-affiliate agreements.
Ifrah Law led the way in helping these companies find partners and negotiate these agreements in order to remain in compliance with gaming regulations including advising on the best way to formulate the financial terms of the deal.
