Paris, January 27, 2023, Jeantet has advised Webedia, a French online media group, on the sale of Semantiweb, an agency specialized in conversational data analysis, to European Digital Group, a digital transformation specialist.


European Digital Group (EDG) is accelerating its external growth and strengthening its data business through the acquisition of Semantiweb, an agency specializing in the analysis of consumer conversations on social networks.


This acquisition aims to strengthen the company’s social networks, brand content and SEO branch as well as its expertise in “social media listening”.


Founded in 2011, Semantiweb, is a consulting company that has developed a technology capable of collecting data on social networks, forums or Google reviews, from which the tool allows to detect market trends for brands, mainly in the luxury, fashion and beauty sectors. In 2022, the company generated nearly €10M in revenue, 20% of which came from abroad (United States and Japan).


Founded in 2019, European Digital Group (EDG) is a group specializing in the digital transformation of companies, consisting of 16 companies and 1,200 employees. With around 20 acquisitions since its creation, the group expects to complete around eight to ten build-ups per year.
