September 22, 2020 - Kleinberg Kaplan, a pure-play activist law firm, ranks among the most active legal advisors for activist campaigns, according to data intelligence provider Refinitiv. Over the last 12 months, Kleinberg Kaplan ranked third for legal counsel advising activist investors, according to its Global Shareholder Activism Scorecard released this past week. In addition, the firm was listed among the top 10 law firms in total representations.
This is the latest recognition of the firm’s position as one of the “go to” law firms in activism campaigns. In its H1 2020 activist league table rankings, Bloomberg also ranked Kleinberg Kaplan third for advising activist investors.

Davis, chair of Kleinberg Kaplan’s Investor Activism Practice, was recently ranked as a leading activist lawyer in Chambers USA, which called Davis a “tireless advocate of his client’s point of view.” Chambers further noted that clients described Davis as “extremely knowledgeable and experienced” and shared that “his strategic sense and skills really stand out.” Davis frequently appears on television, at conferences and in print as an advocate for shareholder activism. He was also recently named an advisory board member of the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia Law School.
