Biography:

Prateek leads the practice at Singularity Legal. He specializes in providing guidance to companies in the energy, resources, construction, infrastructure, shipping, trade sectors, as well as institutional investors, dealing with shareholder disputes, joint venture disputes, operational conflicts, and sovereign disputes.


His range of experience includes advising clients in international arbitrations under various rules like ICC, SIAC, LCIA, ICDR, DIAC, FCC, LMAA, JAMS, CAS, and UNCITRAL and his expertise covers a wide range of international jurisdictions, including Bangladesh, British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, India, Indonesia, Israel, Singapore, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States, involving cross-border disputes, investment disputes, and tax treaty disputes.


Prateek also acts as a strategic counsel in cross-border investments, joint venture and trade deals. He has a passion for advising on law governing radical technologies and businesses. He has a track record of representing high profile clients, public sector undertakings, and multinationals in high stakes matters, across diverse areas such as oil and gas, insurance, finance & banking, shipping, sports & entertainment, pharmaceutical & medical devices, IT & ITES, enforcement and debt recovery, among others. Prateek has also been instrumental in pioneering and developing the litigation finance practice in India and spearheaded the foundation of the Indian Association for Litigation Finance. In addition, Prateek has launched Expert Talk, an initiative to provide continued digital education to professionals through freely accessible seminars, webinars and a digital library of blogs, alerts and insights on dispute resolution and litigation finance.
