Guerrero Olivos strengthens its mining sector with the addition of a new partner

Starting on August 1, 2023, attorney María Paz Pulgar will join Guerrero Olivos as a new partner. She has played a fundamental role in the Chilean mining industry, where women are increasingly taking a prominent position. Her academic background supports her experience, and she stands out for her work in legislative and constitutional matters related to this field. She has actively participated in the Chilean Australian Chamber of Commerce (Auscham) and is a member of Women in Mining.

She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has been working at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría since 2012. Prior to that, she was an associate at Baker & McKenzie.

Taking into consideration that GO has a consolidated mining team, the idea is to create synergies and leverage that multidisciplinary experience: "In those aspects related to environmental issues, permits, and litigation, the idea is to work together with the specialized departments that are already operational," comments María Paz.

Guerrero Olivos, in its ongoing search for new talents to provide excellent service, continues to grow, and as of August 1, will have 84 lawyers and 115 collaborators.
