Moncey Avocats has assisted the Lucien Barrière Group in its acquisition of a majority stake in Loulou Groupe, which owns luxury restaurants in Paris and on the Côte d'Azur.
Through this transaction, Groupe Lucien Barrière becomes the majority shareholder in Loulou Groupe, alongside founders and partners.
This merger is the fruit of a meeting of two French family histories driven by the creation of places to remember and by the art of entertaining. It will enable the two groups to accelerate their growth in the upmarket restaurant segment and strengthen the Loulou brand, its authenticity and its expertise in the face of increasingly standardised concepts.
A first mutual project has been announced for December, with the opening of a new Loulou in Courchevel within the Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges.
The Lucien Barrière Group was advised by a team from Moncey Avocats comprising :
- David Malamed, partner, Diane Ferriol et Hélène Tazé, lawyers, on the financing of the acquisition.
- Frédéric Bosc, partner, Mathilde Cotillon et Loïc Pipaud, lawyers, on the tax aspects.
