As part of the restructuring of Cervecería de Barrio capital stock, PCG advised GC Capital Fund in the renegotiation of its investment in Cervecería de Barrio, in order to increase its participation in the successful restaurant company that currently has more than 2.5 million clients and more than 30 branches throughout Mexico.
The renegotiation addresses the complicated situation that the restaurant industry went through during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic throughout 2020 and was intended to promote the corporate participation of investors in decision-making.
Fernando Eraña, partner of the Venture Capital Practice of Pérez Correa González, stated that “Mexico is a great market and venture capital funds know it and will surely continue to bet on Mexican entrepreneurs”.
For his part, Federico Vázquez, Senior Associate, commented that, "The restaurant sector suffered a severe blow during the Pandemic, so the commitment of investors has been and will continue to be a fundamental pillar in its recovery."
