The acquisition of the portfolio from 6B47 is an important part of roomies' strategy focused on sustainable and fast growth in the PBSA market in Poland. The company plans to create a portfolio of over 2,000 modern and attractive rooms within the next five years.
DWF provided comprehensive legal support at every stage of the project, including advice on the establishment of a holding structure and trademarks.
The project was led by senior associates Ewa Lewandowska and Marcin Wasilewski under the supervision of Joanna Wojnarowska, partner, head of the real estate department at DWF Poland and global deputy head of real estate at DWF.
The project team also included Adrian Jonca, partner, and Katarzyna Stec, counsel, from the tax department; Oskar Tułodziecki, partner, and Marta Matkowska, associate, from the intellectual property department; Dr hab. Rafał Woźniak, partner in the corporate and M&A department, as well as Paweł Białobok, counsel, and Aleksander Kurpias, staff lawyer in the real estate department.
The investors behind the roomies platform are the owners of the Lagerbox Group, one of the largest self-storage operators in Germany and the Netherlands. The group currently has over 40 operating locations and 15 projects under development. The Lagerbox shareholders also invest in other real estate sectors and start-ups.
