Santos Neto Advogados announces the arrival of two new partners: Frederico Favacho, in the agribusiness area for international trading commodity contracts, agribusiness logistics contracts, including maritime Law, and domestic and national arbitration for agribusiness contracts; and Louise Emily Bosschart, for the Environmental Law area. Adelmor Gheler also reinforces the team as a consultant in the tax area for agribusiness clients.
Favacho, Louise and Gheler join Santos Neto Advogados at the same time that the agribusiness participation in Brazilian GDP may exceed 30% in 2021. “Economy is heating up due to the advance of the Brazilian agricultural production chain, so the office was seeking “heavy weight” players in the market in order to reinforce an important culture of the firm: to have a team of highly qualified professionals who provide outstanding legal advice to its clients”, says Domicio dos Santos Neto, founding partner of Santos Neto Advogados.

Frederico Favacho is an author, a professor, and has been working in the agribusiness sector for over 20 years. He has a Masters in Philosophy of Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo. MBA in Agribusiness Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas; LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice from Lazarsky University and LLM in Maritime and Port Law from Maritime Law Academy, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, member of the Grain and Feed Trade Association- GAFTA, Federation of Oil and Seeds Associations – FOSFA and the Brazilian Arbitration Committee – CBAr.
Louise Emily Bosschart has experience in issues involving environmental legislation, environmental licensing, solid waste policy and reverse logistics, Forest Code, water resources, atmospheric emissions, management of contaminated areas, storage and handling of controlled products, drafting contracts with liability clauses environmental, due diligence, development of compliance programs and training focused on environmental management. Administrative proceedings, civil inquiries, public civil actions and complex litigation are also in hers professional practice.
Adelmor Gheler worked in business (commercial and administrative), auditing and legal-tax areas for the Bunge Group. For nearly two decades, he was responsible for the business areas and legal-tax coordination for Louis Dreyfus Group. He has experience with tax administration, including customs, audit procedures, tax planning and negotiation.
Over the past 5 years, Gheler has worked as a Tax Consultant for important entities representing Brazilian agribusiness, with direct participation in discussions with technical agencies, at federal and state levels, about improvement of the tax system in the section that affects the sector.
