SSEK partner Stephen Igor Warokka has been named to the AmCham Indonesia Board of Governors.
Stephen has more than a decade of legal experience, specializing in M&A, shipping and maritime law, employment law, expatriate work permits, immigration, and general corporate matters.
In 2019, Stephen was heavily involved in the shaping of a new Indonesian Minister of Manpower decree on allowed positions for expatriate employees in Indonesia. He met with foreign business chambers in Jakarta, including AmCham, to help coordinate their input on the draft decree, and also met with the Ministry of Manpower, the Vice President’s Office and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs.
In 2020, Stephen appeared in various AmCham podcasts and webinars to discuss labor and immigration matters, and he helped facilitate several meetings with the Ministry of Manpower and the Directorate General of Immigration.
Stephen is passionate about being a bridge between the business community and the Indonesian Government and looks forward to further supporting AmCham’s advocacy efforts.
