The Trethowans team, led by partners Nick Gent and Lucy Gleisner, are delighted to have supported the shareholders of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee Limited in their sale to Britvic. Jimmy’s Iced Coffee is the UK’s fastest growing ‘ready to drink’ iced coffee brand and the transaction continues the success story for the Dorset business, started in 2010 by brother and sister, Jim Cregan and Suzie Owen.
Legal documents for the transaction were exchanged within a week of acceptance of the offer from Britvic, made possible by the pragmatism of the parties involved and the quality and experience of their advisers. Piper Sandler’s European Consumer team, led by Rob Iseman and Alastair Mathieson, were lead advisors to the shareholders, with external legal advice provided by Trethowans for the shareholders and Addleshaw Goddard for Britvic.

The co-founders, Jim and Suzie, will continue to be involved in the business as ambassadors for the brand, helping to support the transition while providing advice on brand direction and future innovation, ensuring that Jimmy’s core values and ethos continue to drive the brand.
