We are proud to be in the 2024 Best Law Firms again, ranked by Best Lawyers® based on peer reviews.

The world’s longest-running lawyer ranking publication Best Lawyers has published its 2025 rankings for the United Kingdom, France and Italy. The global guide to best lawyers is based on peer reviews each year and ranks Vanessa Ganguin and Philip Trott of Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law again among the best lawyers in the UK for immigration.

Earlier this year Vanessa Ganguin and Philip Trott were ranked as Thought Leaders in Corporate Immigration by Who’s Who Legal.

The Legal 500 also ranked Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law for immigration this year, with Vanessa and Philip ranked in the Hall of Fame.

The guide said: “the immigration boutique Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law covers the full scope of immigration work, acting for a range of clients across a range of sectors including media, sport, financial services, and tech. The practice is led by the ‘impressive‘ Vanessa Ganguin , whose substantial expertise straddles the full range of business and personal immigration matters across a number of industries. Senior counsel Philip Trott is also noted for his significant experience, which he employs for complex work arising in relation to discretionary applications and national security issues. Senior associates Ben Maitland and Anushka Sinha bolstered the team with their arrivals in October 2022 and January 2023 respectively, and are key contacts within the department, as is ‘solutions-focused’ senior client manager Ross Kennedy.”

The Times Best Law Firms also highlighted Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law among the 250 best law firms in England and Wales again, commending the practice for its immigration work.

According to The Times Best Law Firms: “This small practice, which is based in Shoreditch, east London, offers advice on UK immigration and nationality matters to businesses, individuals and families.

The firm advised on some of the first visas issued under the new Expansion Worker visa for companies seeking a footprint in the British market, as well as firms applying for new Scale-up visas, designed to make it easier for growing firms to hire top talent from around the world. Its lawyers are regularly consulted by multinational companies about immigration matters arising from acquisitions and mergers.

More widely, clients include individuals navigating tricky family immigration issues such as surrogacy and other matters related to arrangements for children, including in situations complicated by accusations of domestic violence.

The firm deals with many inquiries from the entertainment industry and celebrities, from Global Talent applications to the complex consequences of a celebrity admitting publicly that they may have entered the UK illegally as a child.

Vanessa Ganguin and Philip Trott are renowned for their work with wealthy individuals and sports figures, recently advising a football manager on an urgent work visa to reverse their team’s fortunes.”

Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law has also been ranked alongside Vanessa Ganguin and “Senior Statesman” Philip Trott among only 11 other United Kingdom Immigration departments in this year’s Chambers and Partners Guide to UK firms serving High Net Worth Individuals, as well as in Chambers UK for both personal and business immigration.
