As part of its focus on expanding strategic areas, Felsberg Advogados has announced the arrival of Ligia Schlittler, who will reinforce the office's Infrastructure team, with a focus on electricity. With more than 15 years of experience in the electricity sector, the new partner has deep knowledge of renewable energy, distributed generation and infrastructure projects, with solid experience in the development and legal structuring of projects, project finance, regulatory, corporate and contractual issues, in addition to a strong performance in mergers and acquisitions in these segments.
For the firm, the urgency of the challenges imposed by climate change and energy transition will lead, over the next few years, to significant business growth in the areas of energy and infrastructure, which will also be impacted by the strengthening of the country’s privatization agenda. For Founding Partner Thomas Felsberg, the arrival of Ligia broadens the horizons of the Infrastructure team. "With this reinforcement, we will be even more prepared to meet the demands of our customers in the energy sector", he analyzes.
Licensed to practice in Brazil, New York and California, the new partner is a member of the Energy Law Committee of OAB-SP and the Public Lighting Committee of ABDIB, bringing with her experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), complex equipment supply contracts, O&M (Operation and Maintenance) contracts, electric power purchase and sale contracts, green financing operations and ESG policies.
Ligia Schlittler holds a law degree from UERJ - State University of Rio de Janeiro, with an LL.M. and specialization in Environmental and Energy Law from Duke University School of Law, in addition to a specialization in Business Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
