On February 16, 2024, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced the final judgment on the anti-dumping investigation against China’s galvanized sheets. Mr. Jia Zheng, senior partner and director in the International Trade and Maritime practice group of Zhong Yin Law Firm, represented Shandong Guanxian Rongda Composite Material Co., Ltd. to respond to the investigation, and assisted the client in obtaining a low tariff rate at 6.02% in the final decision, which is one of the best results obtained for Chinese export entities in South Africa's anti-dumping investigation against China in the past five years. In this case, the tax rates applied for most of other Chinese export entities is 53.84%. On October 14, 2022, ITAC made an announcement to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against galvanized sheets originating in China.
