Romanian independent law firm Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații advised Eurotransgaz SRL, a company established in Chisinau having Transgaz as sole associate, on the full acquisition of S.E. Vestmoldtransgaz, a company that manages the Moldovan side of the Iasi-Ungheni gas transmission pipeline.
According to a press release issued by Transgaz, “the event marks the end of a stage in the privatization process of S.E. Vestmoldtransgaz through an investment contest and outlines one of the most significant transactions recently made by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, for a purchase price of Moldovan lei 180,200,000 and an investment plan of up to EUR 93,000,000 over the next two years.”
The team acting on the deal comprised lawyers from Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații and Țurcan Cazac, a law firm from the Republic of Moldova, as follows: Sorin Vlădescu, Partner (Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații), Nisa Jecu, Senior Associate (Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații), Octavian Cazac, Partner (Țurcan Cazac), Vadim Taigorba, Associate (Țurcan Cazac) and Ana Galus, Associate (Țurcan Cazac).

S.E. Vestmoldtransgaz’s privatisation contract was signed on Wednesday, March 28th, in Chisinau in the presence of Romanian Economy Minister Danuț Andrușca and his counterpart in Moldova, Chiril Gaburici.
