Our specialist Competition & Antitrust practice provides legal advice to a wide variety of corporate clients from our offices. We have resolved competition issues in all markets, from satellite communications to deep sea drilling. We have extensive experience handling cases before the national courts, the Norwegian and Swedish competition authority, the EFTA Surveillance Authority, the European Commission and the European Courts in Luxembourg. The group is also engaged in matters pending before other Nordic competition authorities and handles multi-jurisdictional matters across the Nordics as well as further afield.
The group advices on all aspects of merger control and merger filings and is well versed in the specific of merger control procedures with the various Nordic authorities as well as with the European Commission.
Our cartel work involves assisting our clients with ensuring compliance with competition law through updated guidelines and training, providing dawn raid procedures and assistance. We assess problematic behaviour and terminate any such behaviour that may have evolved within our client’s organization.

Schjødt's competition department in Stockholm is particularly active on merger control work, including phase II investigations, and often acts alongside lawyers from the firm's corporate department. The practice also offers advice on foreign direct investment issues and the competition aspects of joint venture agreements.
