Since 1 January 2019, it is possible to litigate your dispute before the Netherlands Commercial Court, affording you access to the Dutch court system and allowing you to conduct your court case in English. AKD will gladly assist you in such proceedings.

AKD has quickly developed into a distinguished Benelux-wide firm. The Netherlands team is praised for working seamlessly with the firm's offices in Belgium and Luxembourg, both of which have seen significant growth in recent years, as well as with other leading firms from other jurisdictions to execute cross-border matters. The law firm has strong experience acting as lead and co-counsel on inbound matters in the Netherlands, with a precise knowledge of the local market, but has growing expertise in advising various clients as lead counsel on outbound matters, which is particularly key throughout Europe. AKD also often works in the UK and USA, having built strong relationships outside of continental Europe, and it is developing a strong Asian and Latin America practice.

AKD offers notable transactional capabilities, maintaining a strong cross-border corporate M&A practice, and the law firm is particularly adept at working on mid-market deals, which have recently involved the USA and Asia.
