About

Provided by ALTIUS

Our team has built up significant expertise in Belgian & EU competition law, both in proceedings before the competition authorities as well as in litigation before the national and European courts.

We are used to dealing with the most diverse competition law issues. We built up experience in merger control. We regularly handle merger filings, both for transactions handled by our Corporate team as well as for transactions handled by other national and foreign firms.

We have experienced a steady increase in the number and complexity of antitrust proceedings we have handled at Belgian and European level, both in restrictive practices and abuse of dominance cases. We are involved in many of the major cartel cases pending before the Belgian Competition Authority and at the EU level.

We assist our clients in State aid matters. We advise both public authorities granting aid as well as undertakings receiving aid or challenging aid granted to competitors.

We assist clients in the setting up and reviewing of distribution arrangements and other forms of vertical and horizontal co-operation agreements. We also offer an efficient one-stop service for clients requiring reviews of commercial practices, distribution networks, joint ventures and other forms of co-operation agreements, both under Belgian contract law and (Belgian and EU) competition law.

We deal with IP-related competition law issues such as infringements of patents and technology transfer agreements.
