Ayres Ribeiro´s Dispute Resolution department is highly specialised and only acts on strategic litigation cases, furnishing the full suite of litigation services, such as class actions, appeals, preventive advice and court representation. The specialized team covers both judicial and administrative litigation and acts on all court levels. The department is particularly strong rendering pre-litigation advice and acting on litigation related to contracts and corporate issues.

The area works for clients coming from a wide array of sectors, most notably active on the automobile and parts, mining, paper and pulp, textile, technology and food and beverage industries. One of the main clients is Fundação Renova, a non-profit organization which is in charge of remedial measures arising from the collapse of the “Fundão” dam in the municipality of Mariana/MG, an accident occurred in 2015 with enormous environmental and socioeconomic impacts.

The department´s service involves the defense of clients' interests in a large volume of individual civil liability lawsuits, class actions involving compensation for environmental damage and homogeneous individual rights, and a large interface with public institutions, such as the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Public Defender's Office, and municipal prosecutors' offices.
