About

Provided by Baker McKenzie

Our Competition practice in Spain is renowned for our expertise across a broad range of Competition law areas. Baker McKenzie is unique in the fact that we have a strong Competition practice in both our Madrid and Barcelona offices. The practice represents a number of high profile clients, including multinational companies and prominent domestic firms, in infringement proceedings before the Spanish Competition Authority, appeals before the Courts and we expertly advise on a range of competition litigation, merger control and complex antitrust issues.

We deliver an exceptionally high standard of legal advice thanks to a strong team of expert lawyers across both offices, consisting of well-experienced partners and talented associates who have a breadth of knowledge across all aspects of Competition law. The firm's international presence allows the department to take on multijurisdictional cases and offer cross border competition advice while also helping clients with Spanish Competition and procedural singularities. We analyse the compatibility with competition law of cooperation initiatives between competitors. We analyse the impact of competition law on agreements between companies located at different levels in the production and distribution chain, for example, in relation to distribution, supply, franchise, agency, licenses and dealership agreements.
