The Dispute Resolution practice group is one of the most consolidated in the Spanish legal practice. It has more than 30 lawyers specialized in the various types of complex business litigation that arise in the Iberian legal market: contractual, corporate, civil, bankruptcy and criminal litigation, corporate conflict.
The Firm's international presence is the largest of all those operating in Spain. Hence, the Baker McKenzie team is well versed in both domestic and international arbitration, including commercial and investment protection arbitration. Baker McKenzie is one of the few firms in Spain whose team is recurrently involved in investment arbitrations before ICSID and other arbitral institutions.
The team advises and represents Spanish and foreign companies, investment funds and Spanish and international banks in pre-insolvency, restructuring, sale and purchase of production units, insolvency proceedings and directors' responsibilities in domestic and cross-border insolvency matters. The team provides support to the Banking and Finance teams in Spain and globally and receives highly complex domestic or international mandates. We advise banks or creditors in Spanish insolvency proceedings or with international impact.
