About
Provided by Bichara Advogados
Bichara Advogados created the department internally in 2017, which quickly surpassed other firms, becoming a reference for clients in customs issues. The success of the new practice was due to our most important differential: the versatility of our partner and lawyers, who possess rare and complementary knowledge in both litigation and consulting/advisory both in regulatory and tax matters related to foreign trade operations, making us ready to present, and effectively implement every possible approach to any problem faced by our clients, composed mainly of national manufacturers, distributors or service providers and national companies from the international logistics field (transporters and seaports). Due to the close relationship between customs and international trade matters, the practice was progressively expanded to encompass international trade issues, such as WTO rules, free trade agreements, and trade remedies, constituting the international trade practice of Bichara Advogados.
In the past years, not only our client base was expanded, but we were also sought by clients for more and more sophisticated matters, such as complex import structure operations, and issues involving Mercosur regulations, free trade agreements, changes in the Mercosur common external tariff (in which the import tax is based) among others.
