One of Ireland’s largest litigation teams, they have the capacity and breadth of expertise to advise across all key industry sectors, handling large enforcement projects and complex and high profile work both within and outside Ireland. This includes representing on landmark cases, with constitutional, industry wide and penumbral issues and advising in the areas of corporate, intellectual property, debt collection, competition law, tax, regulatory affairs, insurance, corporate crime and property/construction matters. Where appropriate, they work in conjunction with experienced lawyers from other practice areas to develop preventative strategies. The team also act in regulatory investigations (on both sides of the table acting for entities and regulators), and in representative actions in enforcement situations or administrative sanctions actions.

ByrneWallace is often instructed by psychiatric hospitals or state entities to advise on various matters including regulatory issues and criminal proceedings as well as matters involving child protection and care orders. The team represents other key public sector clients either as claimants in High Court proceedings against private companies or as defendants in applications for judicial review of procurement or other decisions. The law firm also offers a wider commercial disputes team which regularly handles landlord and tenant disputes or construction litigation.
