About

Provided by Hall & Wilcox

The Hall & Wilcox Commercial Dispute Resolution team has been established as a major litigation practice for over 40 years. In addition to acting for major professional litigants like insurers and banks, we have a substantial practice in commercial litigation for clients ranging from major companies to private individuals.

We have a broad, truly national, litigation team of approximately 50 lawyers based in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Perth and Brisbane, and advise clients nationally from these five offices. We act in all courts and jurisdictions and handle disputes and litigation arising from interstate and overseas.

Our team takes a very strategic and commercial approach to disputes. Disputes are not allowed to just ‘run their course’. Strategy is a key focus at the outset and indeed in all stages.

In addition to dispute resolution, the team has a large focus on risk management and compliance. Our team is acutely aware of reputational and commercial issues associated with disputes and regulatory actions and manages, and takes into account, these factors in all aspects of their files.
