We are one of the most active law firms in Indonesia in the competition space, consistently advising on top-end deals for premier clients in both non-contentious and contentious matters. This includes advising on merger control filings in the context of M&A transactions, and on allegations and investigations of breach of Indonesian competition law brought against our clients, for which we can draw on our keen understanding of the workings of Indonesia’s anti-trust commission.
Our recent work highlights include acting for:
- JX Nippon Oil and Gas Exploration Corporation, a subsidiary of ENEOS Holdings, on the acquisition of all shares in Japan Drilling
- Nippon Steel Corporation in submission of a merger filing notification to the Indonesian Competition Commission (KPPU) on the acquisition of Nippon Steel Trading Corporation, a publicly listed company in Japan
- a consortium of INA, ADIA and APG in preparation of post-closing merger control notification to the KPPU on its investment cooperation with state-owned Waskita Karya for two sections of the Trans Java Toll Road
- SK Ecoplant on submission of its merger control notification to the KPPU on the acquisition of 30% of the shares in Cenviro from Khazanah, a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund
- LX International (LXI) on acquisition by its subsidiary, Energy Battery Indonesia, of Adhi Kartiko Pratama, following its full secondary shares IPO on the IDX
