Who we are:

We are recognised nationally as a leading firm for bringing civil actions against police. We have a proven track record in holding the police to account for abuses of power, unlawful acts or omissions, and misconduct and securing the best possible outcomes for clients.

Our renowned team is fearless in challenging the police through judicial review, complaint procedures and the courts, including taking on cases covering novel, complex and unusual issues. Such a creative use of the law to push current limitations not only makes new law, but also secures the best results for our clients.

Our team has built up niche expertise including representing political protesters, as well as high profile victims of miscarriage of justice. We continue to be heavily involved in high profile inquests following deaths in police custody. Failure to investigate/protect and Data Protection Act/misuse of private information claims are an expanding area of our practice.

We have a breadth of expertise across our highly regarded civil liberties team and criminal department, which ensures a complete service to clients who seek to challenge police behaviour. We have a sensitivity of approach when dealing with clients including many vulnerable individuals who have experienced hugely tragic events including Hillsborough.

We're involved with community outreach working with different advice groups including Medway and Maidstone CAB offering monthly advice clinics.
