We have a record in international arbitration in the country, regularly acting in cases before leading arbitration institutions, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, ICC International Court of Arbitration, and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.
We’ve been involved in several major investment treaty arbitrations relating to energy, infrastructure, mining, and hospitality sectors, among others, representing both foreign investors and the Dominican State.
Jiménez Peña played a pivotal role in drafting and passing the country’s UNCITRAL based law on international commercial arbitration in 2008.
