Work Highlights
- Kirkland & Ellis was instructed by the Special Committee of the Board of Trustees for Stanford University to conduct an independent investigation related to allegations against the University’s President, Marc Tessier-Lavigne, consisting of fraud, research impropriety and forensic image manipulation across neuroscience research and papers published over a 15-year period. A full report of the investigation’s findings was publicly released in July 2023. In light of the report, Tessier-Lavigne announced he would be stepping down as president of the university.
