The department  

KWKR's TMT department is headed by Łukasz Wieczorek, an attorney-at-law and Equity Partner.The team has built its brand recognition based on delivering efficient, business-oriented and complex legal support and services to entities from the new technologies/IT/telco industry. KWKR’s team has all the necessary competences, experience and industry awareness to provide a full range of legal services targeted specifically at clients from the tech industry. TMT’s lawyers assisted in many cutting-edge projects involving, inter alia: 

• cloud-based software, 
• FinTech/LendTech solutions,  
• AI-powered software engines, 
• blockchain-based solutions. 

Experience 

The team has vast experience in international legal matters, including handling contract negotiations in various jurisdictions around the globe. 

A unique attribute of the TMT department is its experience handling projects where new technologies/IT intersect with gambling regulations. The team regularly deals with new technologies and IT projects on regulated markets or markets affected by public procurement law. The team also handles – among other things – TMT sector-related matters as well as issues connected with intellectual property, including copyright and trademarks.

In addition, the team gives presentations at conferences and workshops and contributes to publications concerning new technologies, with a particular focus on AI and FinTech.
